The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation owns the major, local sports teams in Calgary, including the Flames, Stampeders, Hitmen and Roughnecks, along with the CGY Team Store.

Project Overview

CSEC was looking for a digital partner that could provide clear and transparent results along with granular data that could be tracked. They also wanted the ability to try new digital platforms (such as connected TVs, digital radio, etc) that their partners didn’t have access to.

Each of CSEC’s brands, including the Flames, Stampeders, Hitmen, Roughnecks, have different voices, different messages and different audiences that need to be targeted. While sales targets vary from team to team, CSEC wanted a clear understanding of ROAS for each of their assets

While CSEC had multiple partnerships in place when they approached us, none of them had the ability to pursue diverse digital platforms or track and collate the data they required.

Our Strategy

We began by meeting with their in-house team to plan the media rollout, including calendars for delivery and mapped out the best digital products for each initiative. Then, provided robust data tracking so we could offer a clear view of the customer journey.
